Breaking the Algorithm

September 11, 2025, 11:55 AM

Nowadays, doing social media (or anything) is bound by algorithms. We are constantly facing the hijack of big data: booking a flight, buying something online—everywhere we are manipulated by big data. Take content creation, for example. If you do social media, first, your content must be good—that’s the basic requirement. But more important than the content is big data recommendation. If the system wants you to become popular, you will, no matter what. If it doesn’t, even as a top master, there’s nothing you can do. Everyone is caught in this data algorithm recommendation system and has to follow it!

However, there is a fundamental thing to break: when you create, there is a bottleneck period. If you persist for a month or two and overcome it, only then can your content be compared by quality. So no matter what you do, first persist for a month or two—habit formation comes first. Second, the algorithm must recognize you and include you in the recommendation pool.

Be a Bit More Mundane

September 10, 2025, 3:30 PM

As a man in my 30s, I realize sometimes emotions still play too big a role when dealing with matters. Successful people usually prioritize interests above all else and never dwell on minor emotions—but clearly, I cannot do that! This inevitably has an impact. If you let emotions dominate, you will pay for them. At the time, I wanted to live more authentically, but afterwards there’s always a bit of dissatisfaction. So now I try to first consider the overall benefits before emotions, sometimes even ignoring emotions—after all, I’m a grown man, haha. It’s a process of encountering situations and constantly correcting oneself… be more mundane.

Just Do Whatever

September 10, 2025, 6:03 PM

A very energizing thought: whatever you do, it’s not shameful; what’s shameful is doing nothing. Once you decide to let go of face, it means you will eventually earn it back. The strong care only about growth, the weak care about that pitiful face. The past doesn’t matter; now, you matter most. Just be yourself and do it.

The Courage to Be Disliked

September 10, 2025, 6:11 PM

Some things are just passing disturbances; don’t respond indiscriminately! Have the courage to be disliked; have calmness when slandered; and have composure in the face of malice! Don’t worry about what’s true or false today—ten years later, you will see today differently. Just focus on the target, act lightly, stay clear-headed, and strike efficiently and freely. This is like a general on a march, not chasing small rabbits!

Start by Handling the Trash

September 9, 2025, 4:13 PM

I haven’t written on my public account for several days. To summarize the reason: not laziness, but other matters kept me occupied—actually, I was immersed in them. I was setting up a new website structure using the latest and most ridiculous approach. At first, I didn’t do a project evaluation, thinking a few days of tinkering would suffice. But it far exceeded expectations. Not knowing much code, AI was really tricky. I gained some basic coding knowledge, but not taking proper notes is bad for future website coding systems. VSCode is pretty powerful though; it can be fun later. Spending so much time on tools but ignoring the essence—they are just for better writing. Focus on writing well…

Enjoying Food

September 9, 2025, 9:27 PM

I recorded my meal today. Previously, meals were too rushed; I was always on my phone or doing something else, making it tasteless. This time, with a bit of ritual, I put the phone down, focused on the present, and truly savored the food.
